First of all, set the sidebar layout of your choice via Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize >> Site Sidebar >> Sidebar Layout. Here we will move forward with the left sidebar layout.
Moving forward and setting the relevant widget inside the left sidebar. For this purpose, move to the Dashboard >> Appearance >> Widget section.
Select the knowx categories or collapsing categories widget from the left and set it inside the left sidebar at the right.
