How do I build a help center on WordPress?
Install KnowX, create a category for each topic and publish your answers as posts. The home page opens with a search box and a tile for each topic, then popular and recent articles, and ends with a way to reach support.

Layout One
What sits below the topic tiles?
Popular Articles shows your five most-viewed posts and Recent Articles your five newest. The support section at the bottom catches readers who did not find an answer.
- Popular Articles uses the free WordPress Popular Posts plugin
- Recent Articles needs no setup
- Support heading, text, button and link are yours to set

For your customers
What does the customer see?
Topics up front
The home page shows a tile for each topic, so a customer can scan for their problem. Each tile opens that topic's articles.
Search and breadcrumbs
A sub-header with a search bar and a breadcrumb trail on every article.
A way to reach you
Layout One ends with a support call-to-action section for customers who still need help.
For your team
What does the support team get?
Publish in minutes
An answer is a WordPress post. Write it, pick the topic, publish.
Your brand
Logo, colours and fonts in the Customizer. Footer links in four widget areas.
On your domain
The help center lives on your own site, next to the rest of your content.
Where it stops
What does it not do?
No ticketing
KnowX is a theme. Tickets stay in your help desk tool.
No voting or analytics
There is no built-in article feedback or search report. A plugin can add them.
No AI answers
There is no chatbot in the theme.
